A LITTLE ABOUT REINDEER

Reindeer grow antlers every year, starting as soon as they are born. Every fall (after breeding season) male reindeer drop their antlers. Female reindeer keep their antlers through the winter and shed in early spring, after they’ve given birth. (Which means that Santa’s sleigh is pulled by an all female team of reindeer!)

 

We are a family run business, raising reindeer in south central Alaska. Our reindeer farm was started in 2011 with one reindeer, Scene of the Crash, or Crash for short. Antlers are 100% organic and natural, grown by animals, not manufactured. We do not perform any testing on the antlers and can’t guarantee the antler chews don’t have naturally occurring flaws.

As with any consumable product, it is recommended to supervise your pet while they enjoy their treat. Some dogs may become over excited about their reindeer antler. These antlers are meant to be enjoyed gradually, please monitor their ingestion. Any attempt made by your pet to break or crush an antler could result in a broken tooth. Please remove the antler from your dog and allow them to calm down before offering them the chew treat again. Once the antler has been worn down to a size that could pose a choking risk, please discard and purchase a new reindeer antler chewy. Kenai Reindeer Farm is not responsible for any damages.

Reindeer antler is dense and not recommended for puppies, elderly fur babies, or dogs with dental problems. Our antlers are grown yearly by our reindeer and are 100% natural with no chemicals, no artificial coloring, and no treatments by us. As antlers are organically grown by animals they may have abrasions, dents, scratches and unique coloring. We are not liable for any injury or harm that has occurred while using this product.
