Q: How do I collect my horsehair? For each item you will need:

• If possible, wash your horses’ tail prior to cutting any hair.
• Take the longest hair from the middle of the tail right below the tailbone.
• Cut 2 small amounts from different places close to tailbone. The final amount should be about the
diameter of your finger.
• Fasten with a rubber band at the top. Please do not tie or tape or braid the hair.
• Put hair in a Ziploc bag and label with your contact information. (make sure hair is completely
dry before putting in the Ziplock)
• The longer the hair the better. Please do not use detangler products.
Q: How much hair do I need to send you?
A: For a Bracelet – at least 12”
For Necklace – at least 24”
For Key Chains/Tassels – at least 12”
Q: How do you size the bracelets?
A: Measure for your bracelet by taking your exact wrist measurement, then add 1.25 inches. Please add the
1.25 when entering Bracelet size on your order. Example: Wrist Size: 6 Bracelet Size: 7.25. This will be your finished bracelet length which includes all hardware. Your bracelet will be a comfortable fit, not too tight and not too loose.
Q: How long does it take to receive my item?
A: We strive to get your horsehair item completed as soon as possible. But sometimes there are orders ahead of you. We strive to get our orders turned around as soon as possible without compromising quality. After we start working on it, it takes one to two weeks to complete your keepsake.
Q: Can I have a bracelet made from more than one horse?
A: Yes we can mix the hair of multiple horses into one bracelet. When placing your order please describe what you want in the Notes Box."
Q: What is the difference between the 5 strand and 4 strand braid styles?
A: The 5 strand is a flat braid and the 4 strand is a round braid.
Q: How do I care for my horsehair keepsake?
A: We wear ours every day! They can get wet, but we suggest that you do not swim or shower with them on. Lots of customers tell us they never take theirs off! Care for it as you would all your fine jewelry and your keepsake will last a lifetime!
Q: Does the hair need to be washed before mailing?
A: Yes, it does. Use your usual method of washing your horse’s tail minus the detangler. If washing after
you’ve cut, make sure the rubber band is secure before you wash it. (make sure hair is completely dry before putting in the Ziplock)
Q: Where do I ship my horsehair?
A: Once we've chatted either by phone or email the mailing will be sent to you.
Q: How do I pay the remainder of by balance?
A: We will send you an invoice through our website.
